What is a light spot?

The called light spot refers to the shape of the light and shadow cast by the spot light on a plane.

For LED spotlights, which have more prominent functionality, the "light source quality" is particularly important. The lamp body is embedded in the ceiling or wall, the light spot is the most representative "appearance" expression that spotlights can present. It is also one of the standards for evaluating the quality of the light output of the lamp.

What are common problems of light spots?

The main problems of light spot include secondary light spots,Doughnut style layering and shadow light spot and maculal light spot.

What is a good light spot?

High quality spotlights with uniform light distribution result in a natural and comfortable light spot. The light intensity gradually fades outwards, and the surrounding light naturally diffuses. The illumination is clear and free of shadows and black spots.

Therefore, a good spot should have these characteristics:

1. No tire marks on the edge of the light spot;

2. No macula appearred at the center or edge;

3. The shape of the light spot is neat and beautiful;

4. The transition from the center position to the edge of the spot should be natural.
